In writing the last post I was reminded of an old saying so many of us thought to be true - "practice makes perfect". It's only later that we realize how wrong that can be. Doing something poorly over and over isn't going to make it better. If anything, it might make it worse. A better saying is "perfect practice makes perfect". That's one reason why quality feedback really is a gift.
