In working with a group today we practiced something they are all already good at - interviewing. Seems strange that we might practice something we're good at, but maybe not. Most of us interview without a lot of thought - we just do it. By giving it some thought, and practicing some different techniques, we may be able to improve our skills. That was the reaction of this group anyway. We were really thinking about the "95-5 Rule", where we listen 95% of the time and talk 5% of the time. By thinking about this rule, and practicing it, we found we were much more likely to get where we wanted to be. Interviewing, like many other sales-related skills, is best done by intention than instinct!
