In my session at the conference I had a chance to co-present with a client and good friend Scott McMeekin, who is SVP of Sales for Healthcare Data Solutions. He has been an IMPAX client with 2 different companies, and really gets it. He's got impressive platform skills, and they really came through when he shared some stories from both his personal and professional life to reinforce the message of the workshop. I really liked his car buying story! He also brought a unique perspective to the table, as he has a view from both the sales and procurement perspective. I like him much more as a sales guy than as a procurement guy!

He shared an important point with the team - keep in mind that procurement is out attending conferences right now as well, and learning new strategies to work with sales and account management people. We better keep pace ourselves or we'll far too far behind.
