I heard someone say something earlier today that I always love hearing, "I'm not a sales person, but..." It seems that whenever I work with a business development person who doesn't see themselves as a sales person, I am about to learn something good.

Last week I was in Orlando with a bunch of entrepreneurial business owners who are running and gunning and building their businesses. There's no back-up plan. If they don't sell they don't eat. They are facing the same sales issues we're all facing, and hungry for ideas they can use to differentiate themselves and sell their value. Did I mention that they are a very successful group? With that mentality it's no wonder.
