Last week IMPAX was well represented at the SAMA (Strategic Account Management Association) Conference in Chicago. It was the 17th straight year where we were featured as speakers at the conference. We enjoy this conference because it is attended by some really great companies and really bright SAMs (Strategic Account Managers), all of whom are working to get better at managing and growing customer relationships.
Dan delivered a 1 day Presentation Skills workshop entitled "Using Presentations to Drive Customer Engagement". The focus of the session is to help people better understand how to develop and deliver presentations that are truly customer-focused and extremely compelling.
I had a chance to deliver a session entitled, "Developing and Leveraging Strategic Customer Knowledge to Sell your Value". The highlight was being able to co-present with a client who embodies the IMPAX Process as well as anyone, Jim Ellis, who is the VP of Sales for Sensient. I shared the concepts of research and Jim brought them to life with great anecdotes and case studies.
At SAMA, there are many thought leaders out ahead of the curve, and IMPAX fits right in. Yet where we most shine is our focus on tactics that people can use immediately. Of course, these two topics, research and presentations, are right in IMPAX's sweet spot and places where we brought the SAMA attendees great value.
We are already looking forward to the next SAMA conference!
