40 Years of IMPAX

On May 1, 1985, IMPAX was born – originally known as RCP, Inc. Today, we proudly celebrate 40 years of partnering with clients through the IMPAX Process.

Over these four decades, we've witnessed extraordinary changes: the rise of CRM, the evolution of presentation tools like PowerPoint, the arrival of mobile and smartphones, the birth of LinkedIn, the virtual shift driven by COVID-19, the rise of digitalization and self-directed learning, the expanding role of Procurement, and most recently, AI.

But one thing hasn’t changed: the passion, talent, and dedication of the sales professionals and relationship managers who believe deeply in the value they bring to their customers.

We are especially grateful to our founder and friend, Dave Matlow, for his vision and courage. His leap into the unknown laid the foundation for everything IMPAX has become, and his insight continues to influence who we are today.

We also honor the extraordinary leadership and partnership of Mark Shonka and Dan Kosch, who have guided IMPAX for over 30 years. Together, they’ve built our team, authored two bestselling books, developed (and evolved) our curriculum, expanded our global client base, and led through constant change.
